  • I never wanted my first review to be a bad one, however my experience at Sun Penang has forced me to write one. The two star is just for the service otherwise I would have put one star. Went there for a friend's birthday dinner. Service was fine, but the food was horrible to say the least. The steamed dumplings were uncooked with raw meat in the middle, bland food with smelly oil and cold food on top of that. I have worked in the restaurant business and this is no way to serve food. What was more appalling was the owners lack of response to our questions regarding the food and the unwillingness to at least recook or reheat our food. I don't recommend this place for new diners, maybe go to other Asian places if you are feeling adventurous. Believe me, the food is not tasting weird because its authentic. It's tasting weird because it is.
