Ok, I've been shopping here since they first opened. Had this review been earlier, it probably would have been 5 stars. Here goes.
The Good :
Excellent variety of foods and baked goods of A Middle Eastern ish nature. The fish counter has some good deals and the produce is quite good. Customer service has been a priority for them in the past.
The Bad :
As of late the overall quality of all of the above items has dwindled somewhat, things are now hit or miss.
The hot food has become tasteless and dry, the Shawarma is consistently overcooked and hard to eat. The produce isn't managed as well as before and you're more likely to find furry fruits on the shelves. Yuck!
The Ugly :
Customer service is in short supply here now. I routinely see employees being rude or condescending to customers. Getting meat from the counter is like getting drinks at a club...pretty ladies are served first, guys, we'll get to you when we get to you.
This afternoon the lady at the cheese counter yelled at my 7 year old for taking a number out of of the dispenser. Straight up yelled at her.
When I asked her if this is how she speaks to people, she ran into the back.
We went to the front, paid and then asked to speak to a manager. After about ten minutes we were told that none of the managers wish to speak with us and to call back and ask for the store manager. Really?
One appearance on Top Chef and you guys think you're Pusateri's?
Time for some retraining in customer service guys. Here's a hint... The customers are the people who keep you in business. If you don't have any customers, you don't have a business.
