| - Calling all rockabilly and burlesque babes, there's a new doll in town! Granted, I am neither a rockabilly babe or a burlesque beauty, but I always have my eyes open for new, locally-owned spots. While perusing The Meadows Mall over the weekend, I spotted Rockin' Bettie.
The store carries "pin-up couture," aka clothing for those with a fine appreciation for a retro 50s look. I stopped in and asked about the store. They have only been open for four weeks, and they are locally-owned. The nice lady behind the counter let me know they carry limited numbers of their items, so one they sell out of the style in the sizes they carry, that's it.
There were a handful of accessories, even some items for the kiddies. I flipped through a rack of some cute high-waisted shorts. They were $45, which is average to expensive I suppose. The store isn't huge, but I saw everything from dresses to jeans.
It is definitely worth a visit if you're a regular retro diva, and if you're at Meadows Mall, might as well stop in and see if something fits your fancy! Four stars for being a local cute spot to shop!
