This is about COX in general. I have automatic payments set up. Have had this for many years. Never had a problem. Had to change credit cards as a result of Costco going with Citi Visa instead of AMEX. Following Costco's instructions, I updated my credit card information on about 17 different websites, including COX. 3 weeks later, I got an email from COX stating that my monthly payment was rejected by AMEX. I hate missing a payment, so I was angry. After chatting with someone online, I got frustrated and called their customer service. I found out that it takes 30 days for the credit card data to be updated. 30 days in this age of high speed everything is absurd. Not only that, but they don't even bother alerting you to this silly time frame when you change credit card information. There should be bells and whistles that warn you to make your next payment manually, because their archaic system takes 30 days to update. I say hire some programmers to bring your bookkeeping into this century. Besides, why doesn't someone question the missed payment after NOT missing a payment for decades, is it too much trouble to see if the credit card was changed? They say they care about their customers, but actions say otherwise. I'm sure I'm not the only Costco customer who had a problem with COX. No one else I dealt with had a problem with my card change.
