I have utilized several Massage Envy locations during my membership and this one is closest to my house. I average a massage every month and a half or so -- sometimes more often. I have three therapists that I prefer but unless you book several weeks in advance (not practical with my schedule), they are rarely available.
My issues:
The walls are thin and you always here talking, doors closing and general noise during the massage. I found this to be true with every Massage Envy I have tried, so sound-proofing must not be part of the equation.
Almost every time I check in I am asked to fill out (again) I health history. Then the therapist asked you the same questions before starting the massage. I filled it out - READ IT and get going! This is a waste of time.
Scheduling: I had a massage cancelled a few hours before I was scheduled. I had a 90 minute massage start more than 15 minutes late (I was there early, waiting) and then finish as if it started on time - in other words paying for 20 minutes of massage I did not receive.
I always book a 90 minute massage - several times (and at different locations as well), I discover either when I check in or when the massage finished that I was booked for a 60 minute massage. I was not over-charged in these instances, but it is a let-down when you are expecting one thing and given another.
Final straw - two weeks ago I called on Saturday to schedule a massage for the following Monday evening. I did not receive a reminder call so I called to confirm my time as I was driving to the location. I was told I did NOT have a massage scheduled for that night. After a little digging, it was discovered I had been scheduled for March 6th - almost 6 weeks away! I had to ask for something to make up for the mistake - supposedly 30 minutes extra "credit" has been added to my account - I feel that the next massage should be comped. Then I asked for the manager to call me the next day so I could speak about the scheduling issues (and other issues) - NO CALL! At all! No one has contacted me since.
Final straw - I am cancelling my account!
