Oh, Magnolia.
This baby bar brought to you by the same owners as FWD has only been around since mid-August and, in my opinion, has taken the flats by storm.
First of all, this is a "speakeasy" type club. You enter from the street through the donut / coffee shop by using the secret password to get through the freezer door. If you find them on social media it's not too hard to figure out what the password is- usually dessert themed and rotating every weekend. I've been meaning to actually try some of the donuts but I usually leave a little too tipsy to remember to grab one.
I love the inside. It's super modern with a elegant street art vibe... If that makes sense. It's full of cool looking graffiti wall are that makes you feel like you're in Berlin not Cleveland. There's a giant metal tree that twists out of the floor through the middle of the bar and you'll see loads of people lined up to the right trying to get pictures in front of the angel wings (guilty).
The drinks will set you back about $10-$12 a piece not including the cover so if you're coming in a big group prepare to throw down some dollars on a round. Magnolia is a mix between edgy elegant and clubby and brings a great addition to the flats now that it's sister club (FWD) is closed for the winter. Right now it seems to be a celebrity hot spot (looking at you Kyrie and Sammy Adams) which is pretty cool since the bar itself isn't that big
