| - Just like hair stylists, great wax specialists are hard to come by. i've been getting a brazilian off and on since 2011, one, because of location, two, because of price, three because of the type of wax, and four, because of the esthetician. Also, even though I have to show off my private parts to strangers to get waxed, I still feel like a prude and would rather stick to just one lady and minimize the peep show. I was like goldilocks, trying out different places and estheticians looking for the 'just right' place. After being referred to EWC by a coworker, I've finally found my ultimate spot and favorite wax specialist! I've been going to see Trisha since last year over at the Tropicana location, and then followed her to the S. Rainbow location earlier this year. I used to have horrendous ingrowns that would be unsightly, painful and would grow as large as a cyst! However, after switching over to EWC, the hard wax they use wasn't harsh at all for my sensitive skin. I was a little skeptical at first, as i've had both hard and soft wax with good and bad experiences, but something about this hard wax is so magical that I no longer have those painful, cystic ingrowns.
Also, Trisha is very sweet, informative, professional and comforting! I think if you have the right person with the correct technique, it helps deter those pesky ingrowns from appearing. Trisha has fast but gentle hands and is very precise. I used to have some estheticians who would remove the strip or hard wax slower than usual, which is much more painful especially down there! Trisha helps make my brazilian wax experiences much more at ease, not as painful and fun! Though my experience is less painful now (maybe due to the type of wax, or that she's just awesome!), we would talk and laugh throughout most of my appts to help occupy my mind from remembering that oh yeah! I'm getting hairs ripped from my hooha right now! She's also very informative and cares about skin care and the aftercare of waxing. If you're looking for an amazing wax specialist who'll make your experience less painful and who you can talk about watching dr pimple popper videos with, Trisha is the girl to see! :)
Their receptionists are very friendly, professional and helpful from your schedules to the appropriate products you should use. I also love that this company is a no nonsense place; they have a 9 min grace period if you're late and on the 10th min you have to reschedule. I think that's reasonable especially when there are other appts after you, that way the wait time isn't too long. Overall, the place is very clean, the employees are professional and friendly.
