| - I spent Christmas with family in Phoenix, and after taking a walk with the dog at Dreamy Draw Park, we went looking for a place we could go to lunch without dropping the dog off at home first. We found 32 Shea through Yelp, only 1.5 miles from where we were, and it was just about perfect.
It was not easy to spot for those of use who weren't local, despite the fact that it's right out there by the street. Once we found it, though, we knew we'd picked a good spot. The enclosed patio was lovely, with a cute little fire hydrant water tap and bowls set up for dogs.
We had glasses of wine and a table that got a little sun. For a northerner, eating outside in December is quite the novelty, and I was going to get as much sun as I could in the process. The sandwiches and salads hit the spot.
My one "if only" concerns the lunchtime menu options. There was veg stuff, but it looked like asking for it without cheese would make it uninteresting. There were hummusy things on the dinner menu but not on the lunch. I ended up getting the tuna sandwich without cheese and figuring I'd pretend it didn't probably have mayo. I suppose I could also have asked if substituting hummus for cheese on the veg sandwich, but I may never know now.
