  • Each trip we do one expensive show and one cheap show. This was our cheap show ($7.50 with Groupon). I think you can get them for free or $5 or $10 through deals if you stay/gamble at Planet Hollywood. At that kind of price you go in with pretty low expectations. I think the reason you can get these type of shows so cheap is it's a way to attract people to come in and then hope they stick around and shop/eat/gamble nearby. Warm up show was moderately entertaining and funny and surprisingly lengthy which means the actual magic show was probably less than an hour of the 1 hour 15 minute total time. Comparing this show to the Mac King shows I'd say I'd give the edge to Nathan because the theater is a bit nicer, and the production is a little more glitzy. The two Showgirls were easy on the eyes too. As other reviewers have mentioned though, the majority of illusions are some variation of the climb inside and the person disappears or appears. He did mind reading and some other stuff. There wasn't a whole lot of comedy, at least not the bust your gut laughing kind. Like Mac King, I didn't really like the plugging of DVDs, photos, etc and at one point the show was a bit patronizing/cheezy but only briefly. Probably the thing I disliked the most is they force everyone to exit out the back of the theater so you have to walk by where they sell the photos and DVDs which makes getting out of the place kind of a pain. At least the price of the photos were less than other attractions charge though and if you want you can get things signed by Nathan. But I think they should give people the option of also exiting through the front. I'd say this show is worth $25 at most, so if you can get tix for that price or less you should be satisfied. $25 is pushing it though.
