  • The one star is for the fact that I'm glad the Improv is back up and running in Tempe, the lack of the four other stars is due to their insanely overpriced drinks and poor service! I ordered a Moscow Mule (vodka, ginger beer, and lime) and it came to a whopping $19 (not to mention it was weak). I drink these all over the valley and I have never seen one exceed $12. Apparently it was the "Drink Special of the Day" and I was told that "they are always that price". I could buy a yard drink in Vegas for cheaper than that and get to take the glass home with me! I also ordered a top-shelf vodka martini which cost $14 (standard price). I tried to explain how it didn't make any sense that I was charged $5 less for a martini than I was for a mixed drink and his response was "Sorry, nothing I can do." Mind you this entire conversation with the server was going on while Pablo Francisco was finishing his act that I planned on watching. Ridiculous.
