  • Reserved a Ford Focus in November through Southwest Airlines for 3-4-17 thru 3-8 in Vegas. Estimated cost was $265. Couldn't get Focus ( "the" Focus was apparently already rented) They tried to put me in some Asian tin-box.... but lack of headroom got me another compact Chev which was acceptable. Upon return on 3-8 I was informed computer information was wrong and they had to rewrite paperwork with Chevrolet. I ended up with a $431 charge. After flying home my wife discovered discrepancy and contacted Dollar by phone. They claim I added $134 in insurance which I didn't as I am already over-insured personally. I personally recommend avoiding these bait and switch artists. I find out later my friends also rarely receive promised car...and need to "rewrite paperwork" is common trick among these shake-down artists. I blame myself for getting what I deserve for lack of paying attention...but maybe my complaint will help others to avoid Dollar.
