  • After years of driving full size trucks, Suburbans etc. it was definitely time to get into something that didn't drain my wallet every time I had to fuel up. For the first time in my life, I really did my research and determined that the Hyundai Sonata was the most boom for the buck when comparing price, fuel economy and warranty. We even asked a few Hyndai owners their opinion and got rave reviews... so off to the dealership we went. The experience was pretty typical with one exception... everyone at the dealership seemed overly-interested in preaching about their great customer satisfaction rating and soliciting "perfect 10" ratings on the customer survey that would follow my purchase. Don't get me wrong, we love the car! I just wish the staff at the dealership was more interested in actually providing great customer service than talking about it. I think they would be well served to focus on the customer experience rather than their quest for perfect 10 ratings. The service should speak for itself. Seriously... I heard "remember to give us tens on our customer survey... anything less is considered a failure... even a 9 rating is a failure" at least 10-12 times during our purchase. Love the car... the customer experience though? Typical for a car dealership. They'll say anything to make a sale. Then...? That being said, I highly recommend the product... but it probably doesn't matter much which dealership you go to. UPDATE 04-23-14: We still have not received the extra keyfob remote that our salesman promised us when we bought the car. Pretty typical though. These guys simply do not care about their customers after the sale. The only thing they really follow through on is the ads coming to your email trying to sell you another. Which by the way, is always nice to buy a car and then three months later get an offer for the same car with WAY better pricing and incentives... nice!
