My 18 month old just had her first swim lesson. I was afraid it was going to be traumatizing or literally she would do nothing. I was pleasantly surprised by the activities they do with the kids. In her first lesson, they encouraged kicking, floating on her back, and putting her face in the water. There were about 5-6 parent/toddler teams and the instructor rotated through each child. Some kids were more advanced and she tailored it to what they had already learned. They incorporated games also which my daughter loved. I know a lot of complaints are regarding their make up policies, but they give a packet with everything outlined. I think everything is fair, they run a business. We signed up for the month of June and we are out of town one weekend when we are scheduled for our lesson. I told them when we would be gone as soon as I signed up. I was able to schedule a makeup session. I wish they had volunteered to schedule a makeup sesson when I told them we would be gone versus having to follow up. But hey sometimes you have to be proactive. My only other complaint is that it gets kind of crowded in the showering area after lessons with the parents/kids all trying to rinse off. Otherwise, we had a great first experience.
