If I could pull my kids out now I would. Strict doesn't even cut it. My daughter AND son have suffered with walking around all day in soiled pants(pee) at least 2 days a year ago because the staff are natzi's about allowing the kids to go to the bathroom when 'they' need to go to the bathroom not just for 'scheduled' bathroom breaks. In gym when they've been sweating and hot and feeling dehydrated they were not allowed to get a drink of water or use the bathroom. You cannot schedule bathroom breaks with a human's bladder nor deny them water so they will not use the bathroom. These are basic human necessities. The office staff is less than cordial and tries their hardest to ignore you if at all possible unless you stand at the window and stare at them. They have not allowed my children to go see the nurse at times, choosing instead to point out how much school they have missed already by being sick (making a child feel guilty about missing school because they're sick, way to go!, not to mention isn't the PARENTS job!!!). Today alone my daughter asked to see the nurse after she said she didn't feel well(my 4 year old has a fever and is sick) and she was rejected by her teacher. The only way she got to the nurse finally is by asking another teacher. When she got there they took her temp and it was 99. Which isn't a fever but any parent knows that it means a real fever is not far behind. I received no call, even after my daughter explained to the nurse that her mother told her to tell them to call me if she felt worse. I was livid. after being rejected by her homeroom teacher when asked to go This school is strict for 3 reasons. Attendance because attendance is looked at by the government when determining how much money they get; test scores for the same reason and fundraising for more money. They don't 'take care' of their students. They force them to work under ridiculous conditions and when they don't show results are simply treated like crap. I could go on and on but I've written enough!!
