  • I haven't been apple picking in years and I had such a great time this weekend. The family-owned farm is easy to find and there is lots of space for parking. Admission is $7.50, even if you don't leave with any apples (but why would't you!?) There's a corn maze, a pumpkin patch and bales of hay to play on. There were so many different kinds of apples that I had never tried (Spencer, Cortland, Ambrosia...) and you could still wander the rows that were cleaned out (fan favourites include honey crisp, red delicious, etc.) I went on a rainy/muddy day so it wasn't terribly crowded and I really enjoyed the whole experience. The apples were very fresh and tasty - much better than at the grocery store. Right off the bat, you can hop on a wagon (they come very frequently), which bring you to the apple fields - the apples are easy to reach and the different types of apples are organized by rows and signs. The only downside is if you get sick of collecting one type of apple, you have to walk through the entire row before you're able to access another kind. A giant bag of apples is $20 (no matter how much or little you stuff it) and I shared a delicious apple fritter (around ~$5? I can't remember) which was drizzled in apple sauce with my friend. I'm not sure if it's always like this but there were a lotttt of wasps when we went. Super family friendly and I will definitely be back!
