| - Walking into this place took me back to Germany, where I was stationed for three years. Very authentic, very Duetches, the girls wearing traditional dresses and bier by the litre or the halb. Und der vas a man playing polka, albeit I was spared lederhosen.
Started out with the German potato soup, fantastich. Very filling and flavorful, great beginning on this awfully cold nacht. Had a bit of my friends pretzel and bier kasse, very nicely done, as well.
Moved on to the entree, Baurn schnitzel. Delicious! Took me back to the jaegerhaus we used to frequent in Lampertheim, it was well prepared with succulent cheese and ham and a fine potato cake. This was accompanied by a very nice dunkelweissen, rich but not overbearing. My only disappoint with the meal was my yearning for a doppelbach, but they didn't have any.
The only reason they get 4 stars instead of 5 was the one man oompah band played 'Don't Stop Believing'. Sigh.
