| - NoDa is famed in the Charlotte area for its local dives and great restaurants + brewery's.
The atmosphere in this place is something run-down and beautiful, there is character and charm, like the rest of NoDa. Vaulted ceilings make the place seem more open airy, and the brick walls add more warmth.
As for the food, excellent, we came in on an off time (3pm) and it came out fast.
We ordered 3x appetizers, wings, duck confit flatbread, and a spinach artichoke dip. All were extremely good and not over seasoned like my fear of most restaurants.
Everything about this review seems great.
Except for the service. Like stated above- this was an off time for the brewery.
Being a manager at a restaurant, I understand understaffing during off hours- and what not. In total number of customers, there were 9 people in the house.
I waited 15 minutes to be seated.
Tables were left dirty.
Waited another 10 minutes to have water brought to my table.
Then another 15 for my waitress to come and take my order. (At this point the waitress saw me take my keys and I was about to leave, and she just so happened to serve me)
40 minutes to place my order at 3pm.
My father who took me here said this has never happened before. And he was appalled at how terrible this was.
I'll come back again, and update this review- because I believe in the food and the beer was great. I was just so disappointed with the service, I'll come back with in a month.
