  • I have a 97' Hardbody that has seen better days. Before I made a 1,000 mile road-trip, my mechanic back home told me what I needed to get replaced in Las Vegas. Looking on Yelp, I found a top rated Nissan mechanic with consistent five star ratings...leery, I decided to tread cautiously. I messaged Ernesto, and he quickly responded to my inquiry, telling me to bring in my vehicle for a free inspection. I took my truck in, and within two hours, Alex told me what needed to get done; Alex, by the way, has EXCEPTIONAL customer service over the phone, and in person. The original inquiry, Alex said, was not at all important, and in fact, unneeded. It's not too often that you hear a mechanic say that something is unneeded, and that I need not spend my money on that. However, they found a far more important repair item, and took care of it. After I picked up my truck, Alex and then Ernesto did a ride along with me, to answer my further questions about various noises in my truck. They even told me that if my check engine light comes on, that they would do a quick check, and tell me if it was an urgent repair or not. The only auto mechanic I know did all of that was my step-dad, with commercial vehicle maintenance and repair. Ernesto's 46 years of working at Nissan really shows through here; I will not take my truck to any other shop in Nevada! Following up with Ernesto's Service, a week later, my check engine light came on. I took my truck in, and within a matter of 20 minutes, checked out my on-board engine computer, assessed the codes, and explained to me that it was not a mandatory repair item. In fact, he even told me to come back later on again, should the light come on once again. They told me exactly what the code was, how much the part would cost, and how much labor would cost; the estimate I receive was very close to the price that I paid for the repair. The consistent five-star reviews for Ernesto's Service on Yelp do not lie! I found a hidden gem in Las Vegas, in the form of Ernesto's Service. Thank you very much to Ernesto and Alex!
