| - I think many contractors have you believe that their doing you a favor and your "lucky" they can find a way to fit you into their schedules to do contract repairs on your home. Honestly, I find this really bizarre since your ultimately paying them for a service. This was the case with Jim, who is a subcontractor for Greencraft Interiors, who in turn is the contractor for Home Depot. I needed a stucco repair for an Andersen sliding glass patio door we had installed earlier in the month and bought from Home Depot. The protocol is that Greencraft is supposed to set this up with their subcontractor directly and contact me. But Jim, the owner of J.E. Drywall Inc., contacted me instead and was certainly pleasant enough but wouldn't get me a date for the service. After a second failed promise to "get back to me that day", I decided to contact Home Depot. This got Jim moving and he then finally decided to come up with a date and time. Please note it could have been a date further in the future, I just needed to schedule and take time off from work. But I told him I was going to wait to hear from Greencraft instead, who were supposed to be the true schedulers since it was getting frustrating. He didn't listen to that and said they were still coming over. I never texted a confirmation YET there was someone at my door at 6:45, his name was Rene and he spoke little to no English. No, it wasn't Jim, and it wasn't even someone who worked for Jim. Jim, who later came by to do damage control said that he "was busy" and so he handed it off to his buddies at RVC Stucco. Poor Rene confused, had me talk to his boss Robert who explained that they were licensed contractors (his company is RVC Stucco) and that Rene was competent. Robert also said he "was busy" but was going to do the job himself but instead sent Rene. Jim had said this was a 2 hr job, but Rene was at my home for 5 hrs and did a great job! I don't know how he thinks treating customers like this is acceptable, with poor/wrong and no communication, but I surely contacted Home Depot and wrote reviews also of Greencraft and RVC.
