| - Summary: Red Rock is my favorite casino to go to in Las Vegas. The buffet serves high quality food for a very reasonable price. The line to get in can be long at times. The casino and attached restaurants are also fantastic. The casino is clean and great for casual gamblers. Definitely worth the stop to visit.
I just moved to Las Vegas and my parents, who also live in Las Vegas, wanted to take me to a casino so I could gamble and we could grab something to eat. They took me to Red Rock Casino and I really liked it, especially so after going to casinos on the strip and comparing them to Red Rock.
I didn't expect too much from Red Rock's 'Feast Buffet', being that our buffet was $13 per person with Red Rock's points cards. However, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of the buffet. The buffet features just about anything you could want for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It is about 30-40 yards long so it is easy for people to keep moving through the line without having to wait to grab a certain dish. The food tastes fantastic and the wait staff is quick to get you refills or remove empty plates from your table. The buffet line while waiting to enter the buffet can get long and our wait in line after the buffet opens has been about 15 minutes.
After the buffet, my parents and I went to the casino. After seeing the casinos on the strip, Red Rock is my favorite casino to go to. It is very clean, and the ventilation system does a decent job of getting rid of the lingering smoke. Red Rock is perfect for the casual gamblers as buy ins for table games are not as high as you would find on the strip. The restaurants they have (Terra Rosa, LBS, Yardhouse) are also worth checking out. They have great food and drinks for a fair price.
Fun Fact: Red Rock was featured in the movie '21'. It was the casino the card counting students went to most frequently in the movie.
