  • I was referred to Ian Counts in summer 2015 and I have been a loyal follower ever since. When I first came to Salon 1226, I was just having Ian cut my hair, as I was coloring it myself. Ian always did a fantastic job. He eventually convinced me to let him color my hair as well -- complete game-changer. This dude is the real deal. I have a pixie cut that I've been rocking for several years. Ian has taken it above and beyond through his artistry. Depending on the season and the look I'm going for, we work together and change up my style every couple of visits. He takes such good care of me. I can't imagine going anywhere else for any sort of hair service. The salon itself is very enjoyable. It's not sterile or pretentious like your salons in Southpark. The vibe is comfortable and accessible. I'm always greeted by name, and I'm always complimented on my way out. It's clear that everyone at 1226 works exceptionally well together and enjoys what they do. There is a lot of collaboration here, and the end results are consistently excellent. Also, if you're busy, there are several options for booking your appointment. You can book directly through their website, fill out a form to discuss your services, or call to arrange your service. I generally prefer to set up my next appointment before I leave, but when I've been in a pinch or I've had an event I need to get cleaned up for, I've submitted a message through the website and have always heard back quickly and with a helpful response. Frankly, I've been hesitant to leave a review of Ian and 1226 because I believe in the power of a well-kept secret -- but everything here is so great that I can't keep my mouth shut. If you're on the fence, book a service and let them wow you.
