  • Loved it. Loved every aspect of my visit here, from the decor, lighting and tables to the atmosphere, music and especially the food and service! To begin with, Finnegan's is an actual Irish-owned pub, and this place lays claim to the Guinness Perfect Pint challenge crown holder. I don't remember the bartender's name, but regardless, every pint I had was beautiful and tasted spectacular and certainly lived up to the promise of enjoying a perfect pint. However not everyone is looking for the perfect pint, I wasn't, but I'm happy to have found it. I digress. We came in for their food and again, I wasn't disappointed. Our server Shawn was prompt in greeting us, clean cut (as in didn't have any noticable body odor and was wearing an awesome Guinness soccer jersey!), and spoke in a friendly manner. He took the time to explain the beers on tap, their characteristics and what to expect when drinking them. He even had the bartender, Seana (easy to remember these two characters, basically the same name and they were having fun with everyone in the pub), give us a sample of two beers on tap to see if we liked them! We enjoyed them, but since they have Guinness on tap, well...moving on. Looking at their short, but comprehensive menu I noticed lots of things I wanted to try, but couldn't decide what to eat. Enter our server Shawn. I asked what he likes on the menu and, of course, he said it's easier to say what he doesn't care for, and without missing a beat he led me to their signature dinner plates and recommended the Pan Seared Cod. Of course he also mentioned the Shepherd's Pie, Killarney Chicken and something else I've forgotten. Regardless, I ended up getting the pan seared cod while my wife got the Rasher cheeseburger and our friend ordered a pretzel basket and hot wings. We took turns sampling each other's food and there was never a hint of disappointment from anyone and their orders. Even when we wanted to split the check 3 ways (business cards from each of us), Shawn didn't bat an eye, he simply said "No problem, guys." It mustn't have been a problem, he was back in less than a minute with three separate checks! Long story short: Amazing food, fantastic pints, and exceptionally fun service from Shawn and Seana! We will definitely be back here and I hope to try many more items on their menu to add to this review later!
