  • We are visiting Charlotte for the week and staying with our friends in Mint Hill. We thought it would be fun to go bowling on Wednesday night so my friend Shelina called to make a reservation and was "sold" on securing a lane for 4 adults and 1 toddler with a credit card. She was NOT told it was a non-refundable reservation. When my husband had accident and we had to call to cancel. First of all, no one answered the phone, my friend left 2 messages and didn't get a callback for 24hrs!!! When Carol called her back she expressed no empathy for the situation and only offered to extend the time by 1 month that the reservation could be used. So now she is out $100!!!! Ridiculous considering there was no impact to AMF...it was a Wednesday night and I'm sure the lane was used considering we gave them a couple hours notice that we would not be able to show up!!! I will make sure all my corporate connections in Charlotte are aware of how AMF operates!!! Very disappointed that no consideration of a refund was given in this scenario.
