| - If a haircut is just a haircut for ya, then this would be an appropriate place. Don't come here expecting to walk out with the most amazing, beautiful cut you've ever had or the exact color you wanted. They're students. That's why it costs so little. They're learning, so yes, expect it to take a bit of time. If they mess up, tell them kindly and they will fix it if they can. I've gone here many times over the years for major cuts, just trims, and coloring- and each student seemed to try their best.
Tell them what you want, and a teacher will come to confirm what they will do to your hair, and will come back around after you're done to check their work. They will introduce Aveda products to you, but don't push it on you to purchase (they all smell heavenly though and are Eco-friendly).
Tip is not encouraged, but it's nice to slip them a few bucks. Your cut will be super cheap anyway.
I continue to return because hey, hair grows out. Then you just cut it again.
