  • Nothing to die for. Decent place, isolated, far away from shopping and dining. The food at Proof is good, try the hamburger and the wings. Had the Smoked Prime Rib and it wasn't good, I had better at other places for a lot less money; the same goes for their cocktails....super expensive, and their not that good, service was ok but it could've been a lot better, considering that they were not busy at all during the days we stayed there. Didn't get in the pool because my wife thought that it had dirty water. The spa was ok, got a good massage but it was expensive also, don't get one here, go out of the resort and save a couple hundred bucks. The place itself needs LOTS of upgrades. Rooms feel like you're walking into 1990s houses, old tiles, old grout, old carpets. Our room had no view of the mountains like advertised, just bushes and an uphill that started right at the door. Can't recommend other places around because I just don't know, we will try maybe a different area next time....San Diego maybe, definitely not going back to this place. I hope that helps.
