A colleague turned me on to authentic smoked barbecue a few years ago and I usually seek out a BBQ place wherever I travel. Living in Pittsburgh the BBQ scene is pretty atrocious. Never really found an authentic BBQ in Pittsburgh and Yinzburgh certainly fits the bill. The owners were there in the daytime and are very friendly in describing their methodology. We ordered take-out since there wasn't much of a restaurant area. Overall the food was quite good. I had the pulled pork and brisket. My fiance had the half-slab of ribs. Prices were a little steeper than I expected. We paid almost $40 for lunch for 2. The meats were delicious and required no sauce at all. The sides of coleslaw and black-eyed peas weren't my favorite. If I go back I think I'll be ordering a little differently and getting just the meats. I have a feeling this place will have a hard time staying open. Parking is difficult and there's a KFC right next door. I hope I'm wrong!
