  • I've had this doughnut shop on my list to bring my girl on our dessert adventure for quite some time now but never visited.. I'll be quite honest and say that we've been putting it off because she lives relatively close to it in Mississauga and not having much expectations for it compared to the Toronto doughnut shops. WELL I WAS COMPLETELY WRONG! I honestly had a "WHAT THE F*@K" moment when I completely underestimated this shop and thought to myself, why have I not come here sooner... I gotta say if the owners are reading this review, I'm terribly sorry for assuming that you might have above average doughnuts (when I say that, I was thinking it must be better than Tim Horton's... I know, I deserve a slap on the wrist for that) Anyways, continuing with the review. This is legitimately a hole in the wall shop that's basically located in a plaza hiding behind a huge wall separating the local road and the QEW. The interior has a cute, retro decor that really matches the fun of making donuts I would say. Although a little pricey I would say that they are worth a try! What we got was the 1/2 dozen for $15. Before I list the donuts I just want to mention that the actual dough has this amazing chewy texture that made the donut SOOO GOOD. I would say that the dough wasn't sweet but the frostings/toppings made up for it and made for an overall AMAZING donut. The donuts that we got were the: Gimmie M'oreo- Loved it! Oreo Donut with 78frosting and orea crumble on top. Cut in half where I think it was Ice Cream in between? Homer Simpson- Loved it! something simple with pink frosting and sprinkles really blends well with this chewy doughnut Strawberry Shortcake- It was Alright. Its an okay doughnut but a little on the sour side. But overall you get a cheesecake kind of flavor that makes up for it. Raspberry White Chocolate - It was Alright. Same thing about the sourness (maybe I dont really like fruit doughuts) just not my cup of tea Cosmic Vanilla- Loved it! the way that this doughnut looks completely matches the way it looks. It was intersteller (hehehe.... ill let myself leave after this...) Maple Bacon- Loved it! I really liked this donut because the combinations work so well together. My only knock on it is I wish there was more bacon, because once you eat all of it. You are just eating a maple donut. The salty Bacon compliments it so well!! Overall I really liked this donut shop and can't believe it took me and my gf so long to visit. I will be coming back and recommending it to my friends (or wont, and keep it a secret for myself loool)
