| - We were set up with a reservation by the insurance company paying for our car repairs (their client ran into our car). We called Thursday to confirm our reservation and set up a time, date and place to be picked up, which was at the repair shop the following Monday at 8 am. At 8 am Hertz did not show up, and since there was another couple waiting for their arranged pick up from Hertz also, the shop owner drove both my husband and the other couple to the address Hertz gave us all. There was no Hertz at that address, so the shop owner took all to 1133 West Bell, Phoenix. They would not take my husbands debit for the deposit so I drove up there to give them his credit card... would not take the number over the phone, no big deal and we should have expected that. While waiting to rent the vehicle, my husband let me know that the clerk (a male with a New York accent) was not at all apologetic on the "no show" and wrong address, and he was in a surly mood...there were a lot of folks there complaining about various things. Also while waiting we heard a women get upset that they did not have a car for her reservation. I then asked the other clerk (female) who wasn't bothering to help anyone, if they had no car for us (that is all I asked)... she confirmed they had no car and were looking for one. I got up, grabbed my purse and told my husband that we should leave and let the insurance company figure it out for us. As we were walking out the door ... we were leaving... I said to the women clerk, "your customer service sucks" ...the only two things I said to anyone there at this time. She said to me... as I was leaving mind you... "you can either leave or I will call the police"... Now I'm mad not just disappointed. I stopped in my tracks and said "really, you are going to call the police on me for telling you your customer service sucks?" she started dialing... I was quite taken back and did call her a few choice names... I asked for her name and the male's name...they refused to give it. But the girl's name was Jessica... JESSICA... i believe I have seen her mentioned in complaints above. I know that because she did, in fact, call the police. The insurance company then set us up with Enterprise... where we had no issues.
