| - There was a time Pep Boys could not do wrong, had several different vehicles worked on. Made an appointment for a oil change, and ended up waiting almost 3 hours. What is the purpose of appointments??
Several weeks later, the battery light came on. Pep Boys, can you please check the battery and if need to be, replace it.
Young man is making notes, and he back with a quote for $ 280.00. WHAT ?
Well yeah, the battery is $200.00 and $80.00 for parts and labor and taxes.
I went across the street to Sam's Club, attendant checked -- Battery is good, no need to replace it. Cost --- NO CHARGE !
I don't think this is the way to make friends and retain customers, or, maybe -- Pep Boys think so. I had this same overpricing issue before in the same store with brakes.
