  • I had seen Wonder Nails numerous times since it was right near where I go for acupuncture, so I finally decided to give it a try. I called and booked a pedicure, I had no problem getting in. I did have to call and change my appointment later, the woman said it wasn't a problem. I love the big red doors this place has, reminded me of a Vietnam hostel I stayed in. The inside is nicely decorated. The place is small, only 3 pedicure chairs, a couple nail stations. I was greeted by a woman with a heavy accent, she told me to take off my shoes and asked what I had come for. I told her I had an appointment for a pedicure at 4pm, so she ushered me over to a chair. She had me hang up my coat while she filled up the foot soaker, which she ended up making a huge mess with the water. Another lady came out of the waxing room and asked me what I was there for. I told her and she asked how long I could stay for. I told her an hour, since my Husband was at acupuncture next door. She told me to sit in the chair, hung my purse up for me and brought me some magazines. She asked if I could wait 15 minutes, while she worked on another client. Those 15 minutes turned into 30. The water in my foot soaker got cold and my feet all pruney. When she finally came, she apologized and warmed up the water for me when I asked. I did really like that cleanliness was evident, the ladies wore gloves and used sterilized blades. She cut the cuticle on my big toe and then tried to get it to stop bleeding by pushing on it with her nail, which hurt! I asked her not to press so hard and she apologized. The rest of the pedicure went well, she sure scrubbed my legs and feet with the scrub! The painting job she did initially was messy, but after checking on another client and returning she touched it up. It turned out good. She said I could stay sitting in the chair until my toes dried, then she left to go work on another client. I probably could have stayed in that chair a long time before they would have asked me to leave. They had a special on the pedicure, so it cost me $32, which I was happy with! I would return to Wonder Nails if they had a special or for the convenience, but it wasn't the best pedicure I have had. I do recommend trying it out, the place was clean and the women were very nice!
