I had always heard good things about this place, so I was pretty excited to give it a shot. Total disappointment. As usual, I was craving a crab cake but also Caesar salad. I was sitting at the bar with a friend, so I asked the bartender about the crab cakes specifically I wanted to know if it was heavy on the breading and filler. He told me it was almost identical to another restaurants recipe (which tells me it's the same), but I had never had it from the other restaurant, so I asked again. He assured me it is fantastic and suggested I get it on the salad, thus killing 2 birds with 1 stone. Sounded perfect to me.
I wish I had taken a picture of the crab cake because quite frankly, I'm not sure there was actually ANY crab IN IT!!!!! It was like eating a crab flavored ball of dough. Possibly the WORST I've ever had to date. The fact that they charge $16 for it is insulting to truly delicious crab cakes.
I guess at least now I also know not to waste my time and money at the "other" restaurant also.
Aside from the food sucking royally, the atmosphere was unexpectedly not great. Maybe it was the day we went. It just didn't feel like a place I'd ever want to return to. I mean, you park in a boat docking area and walk around to the bar. It's just weird. I prob won't go back.
