  • Last night I watched the Pitt gymnastics team do a great job competing against WVU, Towson, and Michigan State! The event took place at the Fitzgerald Field house. Tickets were 5$ and they sold Pitt gymnastics attire at the door! 18$ for a Tshirt of good quality- sure I'll take it to support my favorite sport! They did provide concessions which of course are always over priced but hopefully the money goes to the teams! Seating was a bit packed and hard to find even 30 mins before the event started! The announcer was spot on and provided scoring updates and gymnasts names! The score board was a bit behind but who doesn't like a little suspense in a close match! I love they they involve local gymnastics centers to exhibition after the competition! This allows kids to get involved and see the opportunity out there for collegiate sports! I especially find it wonderful that all kids get to line up for the teams autographs at the completion of the meet! Such role models for the little ones to look up to! This is the first year I've had the chance to watch the team and cheer on my favorite gymnast, and I look forward to cheering the team on in years to come!
