| - Cure was on my to-do list for over a year before I finally made it. It seemed as though every time it was convenient for me to go, reservations were impossible to get. I was delighted to get one for my birthday this year roughly 24 hours ahead of time - luck was on my side. Spoiler alert: worth the wait.
I was being treated to my meal tonight, so we went all out. It gets expensive fast, but it's worth it to try a large array of food. My friend and I shared every dish that we ordered, so I think I got the full experience.
We started with the small salumi platter. If I can recall correctly, the duck speck really stood out. The sauces took it to the next level.
I don't recall everything that we ordered in between, honestly. I know we went with brussels sprouts which are my favorite vegetable (seriously, I eat probably 2 pounds a week) and even they were something special.
We ordered the hanger steak for the main course. The bearnaise stood out. The quality of the meat became more astonishing the more that we consumed.
It's worth mentioning that I follow a paleo diet - this place catered to my every need without me having to make substitutions. I hardly had to pick around any of my food besides a small serving of grains in one of the entrees. I rolled with the dairy because I was able to rest assured that it was from the best source.
The waitress delivered us the chocolate souffle cake at the end without us ordering it (hey, it was my birthday after all...) and I splurged despite my dietary restrictions. So very worth it. I'm not sure what went into this dessert, but it surpassed all of my chocolate-loving expectations.
Lastly, the cocktails! We thought about ordering a drink or two each, but we got so excited about our options and the taste that we left the restaurant quite buzzed. Not complaining - this meal was through and through a series of "Oh my GOD" and "Wow" exclamations between bites. It was the most euphoric and fun dining experience I've ever had.
