Since I'm stuck doing depositions in the Arcadia area this week, I've been using Yelp to help me experiment with Arcadian eateries for lunch. My reward today for this experiment was Acacia Cafe.
This is a brilliant, cute little lunch spot close to Indian School and 36th St, which serves very tasty looking breakfast items all day long, along with a large selection of light, refreshing sandwich selections among others. The service is friendly. You order at the counter and the items are brought to you. There is outdoor seating on a quaint little patio.
I opted for a soup and half sandwich combo. The potato soup and egg salad sandwich were both very yummy. My friend ordered a "south by southwest" wrap of some sort and said it was delicious.
I wish I worked closer to here so I could lunch here more often. I'll have to settle for the occasional weekend breakfast instead.
UPDATE: After several more visits, I am downgrading by 2 whole stars for two significant and persistent reasons: unfriendly service, and painfully slow service.
