  • Getting waxed is not something you should take lightly (get someone who doesn't know what they're doing, and hello, lines-for-eyebrows or skin burn). So I went on the hunt a few years ago to find the best possible place to go for a wax that was not only top quality, but that also wouldn't break the bank. I've been going to Just for You for a couple of years now for waxing services, and I have to say... they are the BEST. I tried salons and spas all over Scottsdale (good, but holy empty-wallet afterward!) and decided to expand my horizons (and ZIP code area). I found Just for You and haven't considered going anywhere else since my first visit. When you first walk in, you see this is not your quiet, minimalist salon. It is definitely busy on Saturdays, but it's a good energy and although I've had to wait once or twice, it's never for long. I LOVE the fact that you can make an appointment online -- give them a couple of days and times that work for you, who you want to see and what you want to have done. Within a short time, you'll get a response email confirming your appointment. They'll also give you a reminder call the day before. (Here's a hint: they're open on Sundays, too... and it's not nearly as busy as Saturday. You're welcome.) No matter who you make an appointment with for a waxing service, they're good. No, wait... they're excellent. The private spa rooms are comfortable and VERY CLEAN (which is VERY IMPORTANT) and they don't re-use their waxing sticks -- one dip-and-rip and it's thrown out and replaced by a new one. They're also very mindful of the fact that getting waxed is no walk in the park for most of us. They're pretty quick about it without making you feel like they're in a hurry (trust me, when you're getting waxed, you don't want it to be some long-drawn-out process, but you also don't want to feel like it's a slap and dash job). I've never been there when Loretta, the owner, isn't there and that says a lot to me -- she obviously knows her business. Not only is the salon usually busy, but everyone there is friendly and professional. I've never been up-sold to try another service or buy a product. The girls working the reception desk aren't snotty and don't make you feel like you're intruding on their lives when you check in or out. The place makes an EFFORT to show you that they appreciate your business. That, combined with the outstanding "abilities" of the aestheticians and very reasonable prices, pretty much guarantees that I'll continue to go there and recommend it highly to everyone I know.
