I have stayed at this property a few times in the past but it has been many years since our last stay. I remember that it was fairly nice which is why we returned. When we returned to our room for the evening, a lower room, I sat on the bed. I could not believe how squeaky and noisy the bed was. The second bed was just as bad. I went to the front desk and asked them to change the room. Alyssa helped us and she was extremely nice and accommodating. She switched us to another room which she said had been updated but that room had the same issue. Not sure what constitutes updating considering that the furniture was the same as in the other room. I don't think these rooms have been updated since the 90s. So back to the front desk we went. This time, I spoke with a manager. She mentioned that they've never had complaints about the beds before. I asked her if she wanted to come and see what I was talking about but she declined. She ended up upgrading us to a loft room which was fine as far as the beds were concerned.
Although I didn't make mention of it to the front desk, this was just barely acceptable. While the bed was not squeaky and noisy, the couch was beyond dirty and stained and old. You could see the dirt on the couch and when you sat in the middle of the couch you sunk down in the middle. The Japanese soaking tub, which itself is unusual in a hotel, was peeling around the jets. There was no way I was sitting in that to soak. Tiles on the bathroom floor were also loose. While the rooms are a very good size for a hotel, it is not worth it and I will not be returning ever again.
