What a beautiful hotel! The aesthetic is very "Alice in Wonderland," which is perhaps unintentional. Either way, all of its facilities make for great photo-ops. Everything from the wall art to the decor and props. I want my house to look like this someday. Anyways, I came here for a two-day meeting, so I felt like I really got to know the hotel.
All the staff members are super friendly and professional. Service is top-notch. The bars and hotels I went to within SLS were incredible. The meeting facilities were clean, and the food was pretty good. Hit-or-miss, I would say. Catering highlights were the shrimp salad sliders and the parfaits we had during one of the breaks.
My hotel room was gorgeous, though a common complaint amongst many attendees was the lack of soundproof walls. Voices echoed from the parking list and were audible from adjacent rooms. Other small details... there's no complimentary coffee maker (bothered my friend the most) and my shower drain clogged on the last morning and created a pool.
Overall it's an extremely cost-efficient place to stay. There's not much within walking distance like in the middle of the Strip, and the neighborhood seems unsafe (crazy homeless people) so just watch your back at all times and use the buddy system, then you'll be good to go.
