| - We just moved into our brand new home a month ago and went with One Guard Home Warranty because it was recommended to us...
Since moving in, our upstairs bathroom smells like septic every time we run the dryer. We were clearly concerned, but thought, we have a home warranty for a reason, they will take care of this.
We were wrong...
One Guard guarantees a 48 hour turn around to send a contractor to look at the issue, right? Well, not in our case. My husband called over 8 days ago, and we just now have a plumber at our house. I won't even go into all the back-and-forth it took to set the appointment, but will just say that One Guard admitted to having many "miscommunication issues" setting it up, and we were forced to follow up with them after every call, and after every time they reassured us they would get back in touch to set the appointment.
Now, here comes the real joke: what OneGuard covers. The plumber determined there is a leak in one of the vents, but needs to do a smoke test and use a camera to find the leak so he doesn't rip apart every wall. OneGuard will cover the repair, however they will not cover the cost to find the leak (which costs roughly $500.00). What is the point, might I ask, in covering the cost of the repair, if you won't pay the cost to have the plumber find the leak??? I guess we should have asked for a plumber with x-ray vision?
We are beyond furious and dissapointed with this company. F for effort, F for execution, F for policy coverage.
I have never written a negative review in my life, FYI...
