  • We hit up Banger brewing on a beer crawl. I'm impressed enough with them that I went back for seconds! Our first night there, we hit them up during a 3-pub brewery crawl. I had a taster flight of the Morning Joe coffee kolsch, the Miley Sours kettle-soured brown, the nitro El Hefe jalapeño hefeweizen and the Stepchild cucumber ginger kolsch. I'm a dark beer fan and was surprised to find that the coffee flavor was overwhelming in the Morning Joe and the Miley Sours was bland. The El Hefe tasted of pepper, but not enough, frankly. I liked the crispness but wanted more spice. Finally, I was blown away by the Stepchild. I would never imagine liking a cucumber ginger kolsch. Flavors were subtle but definitely there, not too sweet. Service was stellar, and no one gave us attitude for showing up minimally announced with 12-16 thirsty beer-drinkers. I heard the food was good, too.
