I will never go back.
I knew taking my cat Gia that it would be a task to groom her because she was matted terribly; however, I did not expect to pick her up unfinished with huge patches of long hair, a full tail, uneven head and a dangling matted piece that hit the floor when she walked. She looks horrible. The specific groomer has cut Gia's hair before and had all positive notes from prior visits, but told me she had a lot of difficulty with her presumably because Gia was in pain. I was told Gia peed and pooed herself and I would have to give her a bath. Excuse me? You're the professional that I pay to groom my cat. She explained she decided to stop for the day and would "finish her" next month when she's in as she only works once a month. Ok, so will I have to pay for that? When I scheduled the appointment I told them I would pick her up on my lunch break. So, that I did and she had to remain covered in her own urine and feces for 6 hours until I could get home and give her a bath.
I understand the difficulty in grooming a matted cat who's in obvious pain. I understand the need to take a break and give the cat time to calm down. I don't understand not receiving a phone call prior to picking her up. I don't understand being told to bathe my cat after picking her up from the groomer. I don't understand having to wait a month to finish the job I just paid $74 + tip for. I don't think it's too high of an expectation to receive a phone call letting me know the situation and asking me what I would like to be done.
Bizarre. I'm a very unhappy customer.
