| - One star is giving them credit...
First impression - staff were really helpful and accommodating while in store looking for bridesmaids dresses. I was told by the staff if you order from their website, you receive a discount for the dresses. I decided to go that route. BAD DECISION.
Wedding: 3/4/17
September 13, 2016 - Ordered 4 - Dessy style 2955 from their website for my bridesmaids. Received an email confirmation the next day that the status of the order was received and confirmed. Mind you, for this style on the Dessy website, it ships 9-10 weeks, so I figured I would receive the dresses around the end of November, first week of December.
November 12, 2016 - emailed the store since I had not heard anything since the email on 9/14, and no status update on their website. They called the following week and said the dresses will go into production around Christmas time. Christmas time?? lead time is 9-10 weeks from time of order..hmm. Plus Dessy manufacturing closes for 2 weeks during the Christmas holiday. Interesting..
First week of January 2017 - No changes to the website account (and of course no update from the store itself), so decided to go directly to the store. I was told "Shipping Department would be the one who could look up my order, but they just left 30 minutes prior to my arrival. But my dresses are right on time." I left my contact info for Shipping to call...no call received.
1/24/17 - Called today since I have not heard anything and the website account has no changes since 9/14/16. Spoke to a "floor" person and had me on hold for several minutes while looking up my account. Once she figured out who I was, I was placed on hold for another 10 minutes. She comes back and says "one of the dresses were damaged, and they were contacting the manufacturer today". I asked which size dress was damaged. She could not answer me. I asked her if I could pick up the other three, since they need to be shipped out-of-state to the bridesmaids and need to be altered. She said I could not do that. I asked how do you know a dress was damaged? She didn't know. I asked why wasn't I notified? She didn't know that either. I asked her if I can speak with the person that can answer my questions, she said, "she's busy with another order and does not have time to speak with you." She then said, "well, I'm sure your dresses will be in before your wedding and we can set up a block time for alterations so the girls can be fitted properly." We don't have time for last minute alterations. And I do not have time for a business to give me the run around as to why I can't have my dresses that were ordered 18 weeks ago. I've already called the manufacturer, waiting for their supervisor to give me the true reason as to why my dresses are MIA. Sounds like someone forgot to order, but yet they received all the money for them in September. I was promised a call back today from the person at the store that could actually answer my questions. This promise was made at 10:30am. As of 3:15pm...no call.
DISAPPOINTING say the least.
