  • This review is from someone who has made many trips to Lake Las Vegas and not someone who has spent a couple hours. It is early morning and I am enjoying coffee from my balcony at Aston Montelago. (They are condos privately owned but many people list them on vrbo for rent). I have a beautiful view of the lake and hillsides scattered with beautiful homes. It looks like Tuscany in the desert. People are rushing in from all directions heading down to the lake for various water activities. There are crew boats filled with people, father's with kids fishing, paddle boards, peddle boats, kayaks and more. Later in the day the have Flyboard and Jet pack lessons. (Fun to watch!) Last night I enjoyed a concert from my balcony with an excellent band (Good Fellas) playing various songs from Elvis to Eagles Hotel California. There were a few hundred people attending. I discovered Lake Las Vegas two years ago while researching Nevada for a second home. I loved the serenity and beauty so much I have been coming back regularly ever since. I look forward to getting out of the overcrowded stressful LA traffic and coming here to relax. The lake is surrounded by hills with beautiful homes. The gated South side of the lake is home to some celebrities that have residencies in Vegas. From the time you exit onto Lake Las Vegas Parkway there is a beautiful Water Falls to your right cascading down the mountain. There are two golf courses, Reflection Bay Fitness club (5 star!), a Hilton resort and a Westin Resort that has one of the best Sushi restaurants in Vegas (Marssa's) with a beautiful view of the lake from every table. The comeback I have seen in the last two years is amazing. Two years ago I was considering a condo here for $350,000 that had been on the market for a year and half. That same condo just sold for $500,000 in 5 weeks. Developers are building again and the houses are selling. The reason is seems quiet at times is because a large percentage of the homeowners come from all over the country and these are just 2nd and 3rd homes for them. As for the Village. I love Seasons Market. Their prices are surprisingly cheaper or the same as any other big box store. They have a coffee bar and delicious pastries. As for Restaurants. Luna Rossa is my favorite for Italian. They have several other locations including one at The Bellagio Hotel. There is a very good Gelato shop, Rocky Mountain chocolate, a small art gallery and more. There is a yacht that can be rented for parties of events that I look forward to renting some day. I suggest if your a local and want to check it out look at Lake Las Vegas event/concert calendar online before you plan your day trip. I am off to meet my realtor. I think I found my house.
