After hearing about this palace for a while, I decided to stop in. It was a Saturday night and the place was fairly empty. We sat ourselves and a waiter came up to us shortly thereafter. I asked for a beer list, but was told that the only beer list was on a chalkboard on a wall in the middle of the restaurant. Not a big deal if it was visible from all of the tables, but it wasn't. If I wanted to look at it, I had to stand in the middle of the room. Not terrible I suppose, but quite awkward to say the least. Instead of trying to memorize the beer list or continue to stand in the middle of the room, I decided to not have a beer at all. I went for a cocktail, and ordered the blue dust old fashioned. It wasn't very remarkable in any way. While it wasn't bad, it didn't stand out as a signature cocktail for having a bunch of house infused ingredients. I thought it was a bit overpriced for what I got. Our food started off with the spicy China doll app and it was so damn good! The dip had so much flavor!! I had the Pastor taco's and I felt the same about them. They were super flavorful and there was plenty of filling. My girl had the chicken club and it was average as far as chicken clubs go...kinda hard to mess one of those up. Over all it was an average experience Nothing was terrible, but there really wasn't anything that would make me want to go back either.
