  • So, we called the golf shop to see how early they can get us out on Saturday morning. He says, "Be here at 4:45am and I'll get you out first." We show up at 4:45am, He shows up at a few minutes past 5:00am. Instead of going out first, we're going out third. It sounded like a couple of his regular buddies had priority. No big deal. The course was in decent shape, except for the dozens of practice all over the first fairway. I hit my ball down the middle of the fairway, and it was like looking for my ball on the practice range. No big deal. What really pissed me off, to the point of almost getting thrown off the course for verbally abusing this golf shop moron, was the idiot from the golf shop's method for chasing off ducks from the practice putting green. This genius thought it was a good idea to use a paint ball gun, minus the actual paint balls, to shoot highly compressed air at the ducks to scare them back into the pond by the first tee. Genius boy scores a direct hit on one of the baby ducks causing it flap around on the practice tee like it had an injured wing or other internal injuries. Probably having done this before, the guy pulls out a garbage bag to put this injured baby duck into, that is until I step in to tell this idiot how much of a moron he is. Instead he picks up the wounded baby duck, while getting bitten by about three or four adult ducks, and puts the injured duck off to the side of the practice tee, then scurries off to disappear into the back offices of the golf shop. The injured baby duck milled around and wandered off, probably to die. I wasn't the only one that not happy with this idiot, but I was the only one that had the balls to tell him. I just wonder how the guy with his young son had to explain this situation to him.
