| - Suffering from chronic pain for 4 years, it was recommended that I begin weekly massages. Though I knew this treatment would be rough on my bank account (of course), coming across Krystal at Lakeside has been a blessing!! Her techniques to reduce my head, neck, and shoulder pain have been highly effective over the past several months and she's sure to try new things or eliminate techniques as needed to keep my treatment plan updated. Her bubbly and enthusiastic personality also makes for a delightful encounter which I look forward to each weekend.
I am there for TREATMENT, not necessarily relaxation, but I have to admit that I get wonderfully lost when she breaks out the hot rocks! (This girl is magically with those stones!) By far the BEST massage therapist that has ever used hot rocks on me.
Making an appointment is easy and Krystal always runs on time. Her massage room is keenly decorated, has a heater, and is complete with a salt lamp that gives off the right amount of glow when you're changing clothes. (It irks me if a room is too light or too dark.)
As for the facilities decor, well, it could use updating. I wouldn't say that a tourist would find it has the most "spa like" feel and it lacks consistency with rustic paint colors, the occasional black marbled vanity, mismatched furniture styles, awkward double entrance, and fake plants...BUT it's a great spot for locals who are looking for a fair price and experienced therapists. (The decor clearly doesn't matter when the job is done WELL.) They also seem to run a holiday/monthly special and give mid-week discounts too, which locals should really take advantage of!
If you're near the Desert Shores area and need to get a massage done properly, this is a great place to check out! Ask for Krystal!!! (Just don't take my Sunday morning appointment or I'll regret telling you about those stones! Ha!)
