We came for the Caps game tonight and I found myself very impressed. The arena was beautiful and easily accessed from nearby casinos. I have no idea how it would be for locals to get in and out. Lots of security which, in light of recent events, was very reassuring. We had tickets up in the rafters (Section 220 Row L) which were incredibly expensive, but still had great sightlines.
I was particularly impressed by the little touches, team spirit promotions. I was surprised at the size of the sellout crowd and what support there was for the home team. Minor issues...I've never been to an arena where mens rooms had such long lines! Skip the regular concessions and go to one of the many Pinks or Shake Shack stands.
Now to bitch about the Caps, who got destroyed 3-0. Guys, did you forget faceoff was at 5pm??? Did you all get lost on the way to the arena? Because you were down 3-0 after the first 8 minutes of the game!!! At least let me know the next time you guys are going to phone it in...I won't waste my time and money getting outrageously expensive tickets!
