We're not quite sure what to think of this place. The concept is different, the food is average, the wait for food is longer than average for "fast food', and the service was decent. Thus, the 3 stars.
The concept of "fast food" sushi is interesting. You select from a fairly complicated menu that includes "a la carte" options as well as prepared selections. The ordering process was actually kind of annoying yet could be attributed to our first visit to this store. Overall, the process is slow.
Quality/Taste: This is where the concept may go very wrong (and could be fixed). The sushi rolls we had were no better than grocery store quality. It lacked taste and the "freshness" didn't seem to compare to regular sushi restaurants. The options are healthy (brown rice, vegetables, and raw fish of course).
Food Portions: The concept allows the restaurant to strictly control food portions (good for business but likely not much of an impressive factor for clients used to a normal sushi restaurant. That said, the rolls we had were decent and "normal sized" compared to regular sushi establishments. k
Service: The service was good. The guys explained the process of ordering and the menu. They were nice and professional.
Overall, I don't believe we will ever return to this restaurant. Again, the concept is different so we hope they do well and find a niche in the market. It just isn't our preferred way of enjoying sushi.
Give it a try. See what you think.
