  • Shout out to Amy!!! Great job!!! If you didn't tell me it was her first time organizing an event, I would not have known! Thumbs up:) Initium I have gotten my hair done here before but never experienced the Cafe portion and have been wanting to make a visit. Thank you Amy and Kris for making it happen! Upon entering, there was a lineup for the bar and I knew something awesome was going to happen. Of course it was for Initium's drinks.. Awesome latte art drinks!! Being a coffee drinker and caffeine addict, I was super pumped to try. I knew their cotton candy latte drink was a popular item; but although it wasn't on the menu for the night, their latte is spot on especially the latte art or the latte ripple on their drinks. On the menu, they had cappuccino, latte and mocha. They also had almond milk and soy milk to choose from which I am quite expressed since I feel Asian places do not necessarily stock up on milk alternatives. I ordered a vanilla soy latte and my fiancĂ©e ordered a soy mocha. We both enjoyed our drinks with the Yelp coffee ripple. Initium also served Curry fishballs and tofu fishballs, which are typical hk snacks but are always great in my books. We also tried their chicken wrap and the oh so yummy toasted pineapple bun with luncheon meat and fried egg. Lastly, we had a very popular dessert- matcha crepe cake and earl grey (from what I could taste) crepe cake. I didn't even know they served Millie crepes and there are so yummy especially the earl grey flavour! Through the night they had hair consultations available. Gwyneth, hair stylist, was super nice and helpful and provided great recommendations and tips for my hair. There was also karaoke and it was super entertaining and fun! Great job to those who sang! I would definitely recommend Initium Cafe and salon especially since you don't get best of both worlds often- hair day and coffee! Thank you again Amy and Kris!!!!
