I wanted to know what the addition of Unami ingredients would enhance or compete with the beef. After a couple of minutes the wet ingredients overcame the dry bun so I ended up eating it with a fork and knife. Each ingredient was highly tasteful; portobello mushroom tomatoes carbonized onions and the parmesan"Frico" were knockouts.
What I missed was my idea of a burger:. Something I can hold in my hands and get a great burger taste, maybe with cheese. What I got at Unami was almost a burger and a bunch of ingredients that didn't help the meat even t though they were good. The burger itself was not hand made and I think that it did not have enough air in the ground meat which led to a tougher bite. Overall it's good if you want to go for an alternative to the traditional burger. At $14 I don't think I'd come back
