Mad Mex is always a go to for Mexican if its close. I normally frequent the one in Shadyside and North Hills. I would not categorize it as authentic, but trendy and inventive Mexican. We started with tortilla chips and a cheese dip which I wasn't too fond of. The cheese was way to spicy so we sent it back and ordered the traditional salsa which was OK. for my main meal, I ordered the wing-o tacos. this is my second time ordering these. I really time them. you get a choice of several different wing sauces and the chicken is in the chicken tender form dipped in the wing sauce. I have tried the San Francisco and the Honey Chipotle BBQ. they are both delicious. The meal comes with three tacos and a side of waffle fries which are equally as good.
